murray's munchies.

When I got into work today there was a little red snack sitting in the middle of my desk. I know I don't have any secret admirers but the thought still crossed my mind. As I looked at it I read "Ring Ding", "devil's food cake stuffed with cream and tucked inside a dark chocolate shell". I was in HEAVEN. A small little devil's food cake? Uh oh, I smell trouble. And it did not disapoint. It got to 8:30am and I thought "No Sarah, that's to early." So I waited. And waited. It got to be 9:30am and again I thought, "Not yet Sarah, wait a little bit longer." It hit 9:45am and I said screw it. I think it took a total of 3 bites. I took the first and realized that it was truly a little piece of heaven and then just gobbled the rest down! Thank god they put the website on the wrapper so I could get some more of these wonderful little treats and thank you to Jill for surprising me with the little red bit of happiness. It definitely turned the not so good morning into a wonderful one!

Oh and these little things I'm talking about? They're by a company called Murray's and you can go on their website to buy them. The company is actually known for their cheese but also makes a line of munchies. Yummy.

FAB find!

People who really know me probably know by now that I have a style crush on LC. You can laugh all you want to but anytime I see what she is wearing I usually try to find a way to get a version of it for me. The girl is a genius when it comes to finding clothes that fit her body. She never looks out of place and always looks the part. And with her latest book release she has been on top of her game! Well rewind to last year when Miss Conrad showed up to an event in a belted yellow dress. One of my favorites! The color is not something you would typically find and it' not over the top but it just stays in my mind.

I won't even go on about the gorgeous $500+ Miu Miu sandals she's wearing but just focus on the dress. Without much luck on a look-a-like I kind of just stuck the picture in the "I'll keep it in mind" folder and went on with my life. Until last night. While I was browsing through Kohl's looking for an easter dress for Peyton, I came across the LC Lauren Conrad line she has for the store. And look what little surprise I found...

AND it was on sale for $40. You better believe I threw that little baby in my cart along with an adorable outfit for Peyton and proceeded as fast as I could to the check out. You could go on about the similarities of the 2 dresses! I would have to say I'm a pretty traditional girl when it comes to weddings. I'm 99.99% sure that whenever  I get married I will be in a white dress. But, the wedding below is beautiful with all the colors and details. The bride is the photographer's twin sister and if you notice closely you will see why this wedding makes me laugh. Actually I will tell you why, look at the man officiating the cermony, better yet, look at the book he is using. :)

Really I LOVE this wedding for the pictures of the bride and groom. You can't deny that this couple probably has quite a few laughs on a daily basis together. Love them.

To finish off the night, you would have a hula-off as well, right? I'm not sure I'm ready to not have that fairy-tale wedding but I give this couple mad props because it looks like they had one amazing party to celebrate their big day.

And who knows, maybe I will have the person officiating my wedding use Dr. Suess as well :)

Steep Street

Under Construction

Yesterday, Brandon and I were driving home from my parents with a very sleepy baby in the back seat, and we had to drive through a bit of construction to get back to our lofts. And it dawned on both of us that at this very moment, our life, is completely under construction.

At work they painted our walls over the weekend. (if any of you had seen what this looked like before, you would understand why we needed our office painted, think 80's mauve :) On Friday I got to spend the day with the rest of my co-workers moving all of our office furniture and wall hangings to the very middle of the room. Our office looked a lot like a storage unit. On my way home from work I had to take a detour into Downtown Greenville because of different construction by the park. And this weekend we had to move everything into our kitchen/dining room in order to clear out our living room for the room renovations, MORE construction. It's causing Brandon and I to get little sleep and it's making me go just about insane! Ontop of that Peyton is not sleeping all that well at night either because she is teething. But she has 2 bottom teeth poking through!

We are both very much looking forward to this loft project being finished and our lives to go somewhat back to normal. Oh and word on the street is, we might have snow, AGAIN, tomorrow. There was a sweet billboard in Virginia that would adequately describe our feeling towards this...."TO WHOEVER PRAYED FOR SNOW, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, BUT WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP NOW?"  We just keep telling ourselves only 3 more weeks til spring!

How cool is this?

Yesterday I was browsing through one of my favorite little daily treasures, and came across this.

As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted one! So many ideas came to mind of what I would do with a giant letter in my loft and all the places you could put it to make it really stand out. If you want one for your self you can go here.

I think I might surprise Mr. Man with one of these in the near furture. What do you think he would say? hehe

wedding bells?

HAHA. Noooo not me. You would have to talk to Mr. Man about that one. But, I came across this picture the other day when I was just browsing and it made me think about my parents.

You see I was not alive when my parents got married 24 years ago. In a traditional family, I shouldn't have been, but you see my parents are not as traditional as you think. Both my brother and sister WERE at their wedding and JT and I have always made comments as to why they didn't just wait for us too. "But you could have just waited for us, you had us all in a row." "Yeah really, it wouldn't have taken that long to wait, and then we could have been in the pictures too!" (It was really about NOT being in the pictures). My parents always had the same answer, "maybe we will have a re-commitment ceremony when we hit 25." I would like to point out that in December my parents will hit that BIG 2-5.

My mom always said that if she were to get married again to my dad that it would have to be barefoot on a beach, preferrably in Hawaii. With that being said I started looking for inspiration photos for my parents big day, now everyone just has to talk them into it so JT and I can be in my parents wedding photos :)

I'll keep you updated if this so called ceremony is going to take place or not :)

What do these 2 things have in common?

well nothing really. Except that I happen to LOVE both of them dearly. Well obviously one more than the other as she is sooo much like me and that smile of hers makes my heart melt everytime she flashes it. But on a weird day like today I would love nothing more than to take little Miss PK to Chipotle and enjoy 3 chicken tacos with pico, lettuce, sour cream, cheese and a side of guac today, unfortunately that will not be happening.

Yesterday I took a half day at work because they are remodeling our lofts by adding in an extra window (yippeee! except it wasn't) and the property manager told Brandon and I we should probably be there for the cutting of the bricks from the loft above ours. They said there might be a little bit of water and wanted to make sure we could have everything moved out of the way. Well 'a little bit' was an understatement. There was so much water coming down it would have flooded our living room had they not been there with buckets, and it wasn't just water, it was muddy concrete water. Our wall now looks like a murder scene with red clay muddy water dripping down it, FABULOUS.

But the point of me not getting chipotle and the reason for this post is this, during the process of all of this I received a phone call from a nice lady at the Bank of America fraud department letting me know that I had some unusual activity on my card. I got online and checked my account and sure enough I was missing $800 dollars! To some people that might not be alot of money but to Brandon and I that is my car payment and my portion of rent due this week. I now have a cancelled debit card and have to figure out how to make all these payments ontime. Hence why I WILL NOT be getting chipotle as I do not have cash and no debit card to use. I will not have another debit card for 7-10 days (this should get interesting) and had to pull out that credit card that I am so desperately trying not to use anymore as I have a balance I would like to get rid of, to get gas today until I can get to the bank to get cash out of my savings. (THANK the LORD I know how to save). All in all this is a lesson learned to not use my debit card at the gas pump because apparently there are people out there who sit at gas stations with a lap top and place a card reader inside the card swipe at the pump and just download all of your info and your pin number after you swipe to get gas. So THANK YOU whoever you are for now making me go in to pay for my gas and cause an extra amount of time that was not necessary. And THANK YOU to whoever lives in San Bernadino who has my debit card information and decided to have a day at the liqour store, mexican resturant, weinersnitzels, gas station and convience store on me. I hope both of you have enjoyed your little excursion and karma comes back to bite you.

I am now off to pay my car payment and might just scrounge for some cash and treat myself to a little chipotle after all of this, and then when I am off of work I will go scoop up my precious bundle of joy that I LOVE so dearly and take her home. Maybe I will end up with what I wanted today!

But chances are Peyton and I will be enjoying velveeta shells and cheese on our couch this evening watching the olympics while staring at the murder scene next to us.
